Ratings
  • FIDE ratings are from the July 2009 list.
  • ICU ratings are from the May 2009 list.
Clubs Club affiliations of Leinster-based players are taken from the LCU web site's Players Historic Results & Ratings pages.
Errata
  • The pgn files at irishchesschampionships.com and in the ICU tournament report and games archive (as of February 25, 2016) gave O'Leary–Murray as 1-0 in Rd. 4, instead of 0-1 in Rd. 3.
  • irishchesschampionships.com gave two versions of Brady-Daly (Rd. 5), with the second version diverging with 35 ... Nxg4+ 36 Qxg4. (Why not 36 hxg4, better for White?). The ICU tournament report and games archive (as of February 25, 2016) give only this second version.
  • Cafolla–Hayes was given in these sources as Rd. 3 instead of Rd. 4.
  • The ICU games archive gives two different versions of Cafolla–O'Leary (round 6), numbers 29422 and 29493. The latter version omits the moves 42. Bb2 Qf8+ 43. Bf6 Rg7 and seems the incorrect one.
  • TWIC 766 gave wrong dates (one day too early) for rounds 4-9.
Versions
  • v1.0: first posted version.
  • v1.1: corrected Cafolla–O'Leary (round 6): the ICU games archive had two inconsistent versions (and v1.0 here chose the incorrect one). Also corrected the result of Loughran–O'Leary in the "Interesting games" section.
  • v1.2 (13 Nov 2011): on Information page, corrected club affiliation of Stephen Scannell (joint winner of concurrent Weekender) to Q.U.B.: Ballynafeigh C.C. did not come into existence until Autumn 2010 (thanks to David McAlister [founder member, Ballynafeigh C.C.!] for pointing this out).
  • v1.3 (31 May 2012): corrected pgn file eventdate, added index lines to .htm files.
  • v1.4 (25 Nov 2013): modified layout.
  • v1.5 (4 Dec 2014): added two missing games of David Murray's; added references to annotations by David Murray of all his games (thanks to Tony Foley for pointing these out); embedded pgn files in each .htm file; removed popup games; added ratings and titles to each .htm file; corrected links, noted many dead links and removed one (for venue hotel); modified layout.
  • v1.6 (12 Oct 2015): added player ages; corrected club affiliations of Séamus Duffy, Peter J. Hayes, and Liam Porter; updated links to ICU games archive (which had changed when the ICU site was reorganised); corrected openings index; modified layout.
  • v1.7 (27 Sep 2016): modified layout.
  • v1.8 (24 Apr 2017): added championships played column in Pairings & results; modified pgn format.
  • v1.9 (18 May 2017): corrected half-move bug in Berney - Daly, round 2; updated link to ICU web site version and annotation of Cafolla - O'Leary, round 6; removed dead links from playable games; modified format
  • v1.10 (14 Jan 2019): corrected PlyCount in Berney - Daly, round 2 (20 → 118) and Cafolla - O'Leary, round 6 (90 → 89); added missing space in Event name in O'Connell - Atlas, round 4; removed null PlyCount tag in Keogh - Did not play, round 9; sundry minor capitalization changes; modified playable game format
  • v1.11 (23 Jan 2019): added notes to Loughran - O'Leary, round 2
  • v1.12 (6 Mar 2021): changed dead link to IrishChessChampionships.com report to version from the Wayback Machine in Sources and notes → Sources → Web; removed link to ICU games archive in Sources and notes → Sources → Web and added version date instead (since the ICU games archive and IRLchess are now synchronized regularly); changed link to TWIC 766 news item in Sources and notes → Sources → Web to live version, and removed URL from dead link to TWIC 766 games archive; changed dead link to ChessLeague.net to version at LCU web site in Sources and notes → Notes; added "Débuts and final appearances" entry in Sources and notes → Notes; changed tense in Sources and notes → Notes → Errata to account for dead links and change in ICU games archive; removed David Murray's middle initial throughout; added FIDE ID for Mark Berney and clubs and nationalities for all players in pgn; modified URLs to change http to https where possible and to eliminate redirects
