On 22... Qxf8 23. Qxe6+ Qf7 24. Qxf7+ Kxf7 25. Bd8 White has the better ending but it's not over by any means; the correct answer is therefore B. The game continuation shows that answer C is at least half right: 23. Qf4+ Qf7 24. Qb8+ Qe8 25. Be7+!! The flaw! Now it's all over b.t.s. 25. ... Kf7 26. Qxb7 Bd4+ 27. Kh1 Ng3+ 28. hxg3 Qh8+ 29. Bh4+ The previous moves were 20. ... R(d4)xd1 21. N(c3)xd1. The right way was 20. ... Nxe4! immediately, after which 21. Rxf8+ Kxf8 22. Qf4+ Kg8! is excellent for Black: the knight on e4 is not lost as White must also cover d1. 1-0 |
