IRL registration with FIDE; additional rating requirement of 1900+ FIDE or ICU on any published FIDE or ICU list prior to the tournament starting (August 2026 for FIDE; July 2026 for ICU) with some exceptions (see Sources).
Players had in addition to be either (1) born in Ireland, or have at least one parent born in Ireland, or (2) be a citizen of the Republic of Ireland, or (3) to have been IRL-registered with FIDE since Januay 1, 2026 and to have been resident in Ireland for at least two years immediately prior to January 1, 2026.
Tie-break

Time control
40 moves in 90 minutes, plus an additional 30 minutes at move 40, plus a 30 second increment from move 1.
